2016 Jean-Yves Peron 'Cote Pelee'
Jean-Yves Peron is a young winemaker tending 100-year-old vines in France. His approach is organic and biodynamic, with minimal intervention over his 3.5 hectares of Mondeuse and Jacquere, as well as Altesse and Roussanne. The Cote Pelee is 100% mondeuse, which is one of the oldest varieties in France, in this case from 80 year old vines. There's a strong minerality in this one, with a touch of pepper and date. It should be a fun time at only 11.5%.
