2018 Patrice Beguet 'Fresh Impressions Rouge'
Grape/s: Grenache Noir, Gamay, Trousseau, Ploussard/Poulsard
One of my favourite, smashable wines each year and that's exactly what Patrice is after with this blend. 60% Grenache from Claude Ughetto's Mont Ventoux's vineyards, 30% Gamay from Landron's Loire vineyards and 10% Ploussard and Trousseau from the Jura. Only 20% of the Grenache and Gamay was macerated on skins so it's very easy on the palate with the rest direct pressed and into stainless. Fermentation by indigenous yeast and no sulphites or filtration. - Greg Murphy Wine Imports
